English is the official and national Language in Zambia. It is widely spoken even in the rural areas.

There are 72 tribes in Zambia. The main groups and languages include Bemba, Tonga, the Ngoni, Lunda, the Luvale, the Kaonde and Lozi. 

Zambia is one of the few countries in Africa with very little tribal animosity
