For
people driving into Zambia, the following documents will be needed at all
border posts; Passports
for all border posts Valid
International Drivers License Vehicle
Registration Book (Log Book) Vehicle
Insurance Papers A third party insurance must be bought at the border on entering Zambia. All
border posts sell these insurances and are generally cheap.
A letter from the company authorizing the use of the vehicle for the person driving it. (Only needed if this is a company vehicle)
A stamped letterhead from your local police authority indicating vehicle registration, chassis number and engine number. A
set of red triangles to help warn other vehicles
An address in Zambia where you will be staying
