You are an enigma, a strange enigma,

At times, its as though you are pouring water over a flame,

which has been dying anyway

bestowing an impenetrable coldness

that touches every muscle and bone in my body,

as though a cold steel rod has been placed at my core,

where once was my soul,

Yet, then, only you can turn this steel into putty,

restowing it gently, slowly,

healing my soul with your soothing words, your enigmatic smile,

Only you - then, delve into the impenetrable,

confusing me,

confusing everything until I am left wanting more,

of this, this confusing, bewildering thing,

You stop the droplet from quenching the flame,

leaving me waiting and hoping for more,

of this enigma, this strange enigma
