I'm
kaonde from Kasempa, Northwestern province,
I really love my background
because I
saw the hand of God in nature and in my community
from
a very early age. I have great childhood memories
of drawing and carrying
buckets of water on my head, swimming in the
village stream , and
best of all singing in the Church choir from
age five. My grand parents
who raised me believed in me and took personal
interest in my dreams
, even though I was growing up in huge family
of cousins , uncles and
aunts.
I
look back in amazement as I see how I went through
high school at Mukinge
girls mission school, Kasempa, Nkrumah Teachers
Training College, back
to Mukinge as a science teacher, off to Bible
Institute of South Africa
in Capetown and then to Philadelphia Biblical
University. God has led
me through so much , and through out this time
of growth and
traveling
my one constant has been the love and grace
of God, keeping me safe
and sane.
This
first Cd is a testimony of that. I wrote most
of the songs in English
and Kaonde ,I have one written in Bemba by a
friend A
few years ago I met the most adorable and godly
man I have ever known.
He is from New Jersey We got married in May
2000. We now run a Christian
counseling practice together. It is called renewing
the heart Christian
counseling. For more information about
the counseling go to our web site rth.homestead.com
My
husband and I have a burden for training Church
leaders and ministering
to orphans in Zambia. Part of the proceeds of
the CD are going
towards training a family in Zambia, who we
hope to work with in the
above ministries...... We believe that this
is just the beginning because we
are trusting God for big things. There is a
beautiful picture in our office
that has this quote " The greatest use
of life is to spend it for something
that will outlast it."
That
is our vision and we are going with it for as
long as God gives us breath
