Unbreakable

Shatel have just released their superb second album, Unbreakable

|||Site News

Babs and Sabs unleashed their debut album, "Chikondi" in April 2001, which has the girls doing their spectacular vocals, as well as the production skills of Joe Chibangu (Zambia's ambassador of beat), and some of Zambia's finest producers like Jordan Katembula, Tribal Cousin, Beige, and Jeff Kawanu.

Their success has already started. Shatel won the Most Popular Zambian Artist Award at the 2001 Sounds Music Awards. Their biggest achievement came when SHATEL were nominated in the MOST PROMISING FEMALE ARTIST category of the 2001 KORA All Africa Music Awards, our continent's most prestigious music award ceremony.

  Shatel sung as part of Zambia's finest female acapella ensemble Amashiwi for the past several years, and have now firmly made their mark as a twosome. When Shatel returned from their tour of Japan with Amashiwi in late December 2000, they immediately signed a recording contract with Zambia's music leaders.
