Hair we go again!

Straight long hair

When blow drying, use the high heat setting when the hair is damp. When the hair is almost dry, use your brush to hold your hair in place and use the cool setting to "set" the hair. After the hair is completely dry and your style is set, use a stronger holding hair spray to keep the hair in place

Take the contents of a small jar of mayonnaise and work it through your hair (your hair can be wet or dry but it's easier if your hair is wet). This is going to feel very, VERY disgusting, I know, but worth it. Once it's all in your hair,  put a towel on your head for about 15 minutes and let it soak in. Then, wash out thoroughly to prevent hair being greasy. This treatment leaves your hair stronger and shinier than before.

To get rid of dandruff, mix half a cupful of Listerine with your regular shampoo once a week.

To get chlorine out of your hair after a swim dissolve 2 Alka-Seltzer tablets in water, pour over your hair, then rinse.

Run out of conditioner? Use a table spoon of mayonnaise instead. Rinse WELL!

To brighten your hair apply lemon juice (use a spray bottle to apply if you have one), then sit out in the sun for an hour or two then rinse.

To darken your hair apply vinegar then blow dry and rinse.

Straight Long hair. Get the look you really want

To remove product build up from your hair, mix 1 tablespoon of apple cider with 1 tablespoon of shampoo and wash your hair.

Take 1/4 to 1/3 cup of olive oil (I use the good stuff, and it makes a difference) and heat it in the microwave for 30 seconds, or until warm (not hot). With fingers, liberally spread through your hair until the hair is saturated. Wash your hands (or rub oil into the skin on your hands for soft hands, then wipe dry) Turn a blow drier on hot and blow all over your hair for 5 to 10 minutes. Shampoo as usual, and condition if you do so normally. You'll find your hair is much more elastic, shiner and feels just great!
