AIDS is real
It
saddens me to note that HIV/AIDS is a condition, is largely seen
to be the fault of those who get it, a condition for the morally
irresponsible and is met with censure and apprehension. Where does
this attitude leave the poor child born infected, the wife who
caught the virus in her marital bed, the patient who was given
contaminated blood or better still the man/woman whose only crime
was to be in a relationship?

 As much as I
appreciate our liberty to exercise our right to confidentiality,
unfortunately, by keeping quiet and hiding our HIV status we are
actually colluding with those beliefs... |
