‘WOMANITY’

This goes out to the single mother aware of the completeness of being a woman.

To the widow able to empower and motivate women in similar situations.

To the highly spiritual mum inclined to preach and bring God’s glory into our hearts.

To the barren woman who has loved another child like her very own.

To the superwoman driven by self-importance.

To the women who have given us a voice and embraced the whole truth.

To the authentic step-mum caring and loving her family.

To the full time mothers who have the most complicated job in the world.

To the women in the street of Cairo holding on to hope and tomorrow.

To the Aunties and mamas at the village cultivating togetherness.

To the HIV/AIDS infected or affected woman who believes it’s worth a fight

To the wise Grandmother sharing her testimonies, lessons and triumphs.

To the expectant woman carrying an angel.

To the woman trying to make ends meet while looking forward to more challenging days.

To the God-gifted diva reaching out beyond her dreams.

To the intellect sisters in the house believing in themselves.

To the cute girls who love to baby sit and treasure their siblings.

TO ALL THE WOMEN

YOU GO GIRLS

To me being a Zambian is about strength, ambition and the quest for a good time. Although I am Canadian by citizenship, I am Zambian by blood. Blood is thicker than citizenship. ...Individuality is key. If a woman has her own style and wears it with confidence she is beautiful. It isn't about a dress size or a hair colour. It is about inner strength and confidence! More

I think what is lacking in our Zambian communities is the fact that we do not encourage the arts, and so people with an obvious artistic gift may not develop it until they are well into their teens. This compared to the western world hinders us from becoming experts in our fields. The most important thing in life is to know your purpose.  If your purpose in life is to involve speaking to the public, then go for it.  If something is of God and ordained of him, then God will bless it and grant you the boldness as a woman. As a woman, I have experienced quite a number of things in the music industry. One needs to have a good personality and most importantly you need to just be your self. It takes determination courage and trusting yourself and standing by virtues that will help you succeed. You also need to be a positive thinker and close your ears from rumors. More

Being all woman is magical.

A woman needs more than just beauty; we need to be highly principled in our conduct.  We have often been skeptical about the concept of beauty; the concept of beauty lies in a person’s character and sense of being. Beauty is displayed in our daily lives; it entails an inner awareness of joy and pride.

How would you describe yourself in your ‘Womanity’?

When you have found God’s love and know your values, it is inconceivable to have uncouth or indecent intentions. Allow me to readdress the issue of cleansing your thoughts…Always remember that the most beautiful and wonderful things in the world cannot be seen or touched but they can be felt with the heart.

Every woman should be able to:

1         learn how to say No

2         know how to cook healthy and nutritious meals, yes this includes nsima

3         compete with herself and succeed

4         speak well

5         be aware of hygienic matters

6         believe in the power of prayer
